What they actually are
This is a company, not a single DJ. Their site says the roster is kept small — they currently describe a team of about 20 DJs and musicians — and that the person you meet is not automatically the person who plays your reception. After the first meeting they assign a DJ (and musicians, if you booked live music) to the date.
Co-founder Jorge Pineda is a producer. That shows up in how they talk about the job: they sell themselves as musicians and engineers, not as a playlist laptop. WeddingWire reviews name individual DJs (Xavier, Abraham, Hugo) rather than “the 586 guy,” which is the useful detail. Ask for the assigned name in writing.
They also do birthdays, high-school dances, Christmas parties and corporate nights. The core product on the site is still the wedding: ceremony sound, reception DJ, and live musicians as an add-on.
What to ask before you compare a quote
- Which DJ is on my date, and can I hear a recent set from that person?
- Does the package include ceremony mics, cocktail-hour speakers and reception sound, or only the dance floor?
- Live musicians: who is coming, and is that a separate line on the invoice?
- Hours, overtime, and whether setup is inside the billed time.
- Travel from Burlington to a Toronto or Niagara venue — is it included?
