About the visuals

TorontoDJs.com does not use generated portraits, stock photos or fictional performer images. A listing shows a photo only when it comes from the business’s own website; otherwise it shows a plain initials tile.

How listing photos are chosen

Photos on DJ and venue listings come only from the listed business’s own website. We download a copy, resize it and serve it from this site (we do not hotlink). Full attribution for every photo (business, source page and the press wording) is listed below rather than under the image.

We use images the business offers for press or promotional use (a press kit, media page or images labelled for press), or the main profile photo on its own website. We skip images with watermarks, photographer or agency credits, festival or brand logos, other identifiable people as the subject, stock or AI-looking images, and anything hosted on a third-party site.

If a photo or listing is wrong, or you want a photo removed, use the “Request a change or removal” link at the bottom of the listing. Requests go to the TorontoDJs.com inbox and we act on removal requests.

Listing photos

Other photographs

These are stored under /assets/img/ on this site, not hotlinked. Credits stay with the original photographers; they are listed here instead of under the images.

Earlier versions of the site also used a Toronto skyline photo, a Casa Loma photo, a wedding dance floor photo and a club mixer photo. They are no longer used.
