How We Check DJ Listings
How TorontoDJs.com decides which Toronto DJ and DJ-company profiles qualify for the directory, what is verified, and what is not.
A listing is an informational record, not a recommendation. We require a current public source, identify provider-supplied claims, record a verification date and provide a correction path.
- Listings are not rankings or endorsements.
- Provider claims remain attributed to the provider.
- No payment can purchase a higher editorial ranking.
- Profiles are updated or removed when evidence becomes stale or materially inaccurate.
What qualifies for a profile
A provider should have a current public web presence with enough information to identify the business or performer, Toronto/GTA relevance, services or specialties, and a way for readers to verify the source directly.
What verified means
Verified means TorontoDJs.com found a current public source supporting the specific directory fields shown. It does not mean TorontoDJs.com independently audited every performance claim, review, award, client logo or event count.
Provider-supplied claims
Years in business, event counts, awards, client names, roster size and similar claims may originate on the provider’s own website. We label or phrase those as provider claims rather than presenting them as independently proven facts.
No pay-to-rank
Advertising, sponsorship or a commercial relationship cannot purchase a favourable editorial conclusion or a higher organic directory position. Sponsored placements, if introduced later, must be clearly labeled and separated from editorial records.
Update cycle
High-change fields should be rechecked periodically. Every profile carries a last-verified date. Readers and providers can submit corrections or updated evidence to todayidid@gmail.com.
Removal and corrections
Profiles may be corrected, marked stale or removed when a provider closes, leaves the market, loses a verifiable public presence or materially changes its services.
