How We Track DJ Events & Appearances
The rule is simple: one documented appearance is evidence of that dated appearance—not proof of an ongoing affiliation.
What counts as a relationship
We record a relationship only when a public source names the artist, event, date and venue or otherwise clearly supports the connection. The default relationship type is documented event appearance.
Historical vs current
Past event records remain historical evidence. They are never automatically converted into claims such as resident DJ, regular performer, employee, promoter partner or venue affiliate.
Upcoming records
Future-dated listings can change or be cancelled. They are marked for reconfirmation and visitors are sent to the live source.
Source hierarchy
We prefer official venue/promoter/event pages and established event databases that expose a specific dated lineup. Social posts may supplement a record but should not be the sole basis when a stronger public source exists.
