Alley Entertainment
Owner-run Toronto DJ and MC company. Weddings and corporate events are the booking product. Bars and patio nights are how they started.
How to book
Official site: alleyent.ca. Public booking contacts that appear on their pages: ryan@alleyent.ca and 647-828-4515. Ask for Ryan if you want the owner on the date, not a fill-in.
What they actually play
Alley sells open format on purpose. Their own site talks about fusion weddings and mixed rooms — hip-hop, Top 40, Latin, house, R&B, Afrobeats, country, reggae, soca, Bollywood, Greek, Portuguese, Italian. That list is only useful if you tell them which three of those your guests will actually dance to.
The company started in bars and nightclubs around the GTA, then moved into receptions. That background matters for a wedding in a hotel ballroom that needs to feel like a night out after dinner, and it matters less for a quiet ceremony-only booking.
They advertise a text-to-request line at corporate events so guests can send songs without crowding the booth. If you hate requests, say so before the contract. If you want them, ask whether that line is included in a wedding package or only on the corporate side.
What to ask
- Is Ryan DJing, or someone else on the roster?
- DJ only, or DJ plus MC?
- Starting wedding price they have published through vendor profiles has been in the $1,300 range — confirm the current number and what hours that buys. Compare it on Toronto DJ prices.
- Sound, lighting, ceremony mics, overtime.
