What they actually do
Client write-ups on their own site name specific DJs — Raman Bedi, Nirav (Nsane), KSR, Spin Singh, AD Mix, J Statik — and specific MCs — Anuj, Navi Rai, Hardip. They also book dhol players for the parts of a Punjabi wedding that need one. If you search “Frequency Entertainment Toronto” you will also hit an old Entertainment District club. That is a different business. This page is the Mississauga wedding company.
Music coverage on the site is not “South Asian” as a single pile. Reviews talk about Punjabi and Hindi requests, Bhangra, Bollywood from different decades, Arabic and Persian tracks, plus hip-hop, R&B, reggae, Afrobeats and straight English pop when the floor shifts. Destination work shows up too (Winnipeg and Toronto on the same couple’s calendar).
They sell production on top of the DJ: lighting, screens, sparklers, LED décor. Price those as extras. A reception-only quote and a full sangeet-plus-reception-plus-décor quote are not the same job.
What to ask
- Which DJ and which MC are on each event (sangeet and reception are often different nights).
- Do you need dhol, and is that person on the same invoice?
- Ceremony / cocktail / reception sound as separate lines.
- Language mix and “do not play” list, in writing.
- Compare the dollar figure against Toronto DJ prices once the scope is the same.
